This Sunday 25 April join us for a first-ever annual Twilight Anzac celebration that commemorates the fallen Australian, Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, Kiwi and Maori men and women that gave their lives to protect our great nation. This family-friendly free community event offers market stalls; food trucks; a fully licenced bar; a traditional hangi (pre-orders essential to avoid missing out) and a unique Twilight commemoration with cultural performances, entertainment and stories from our servicemen and women at the setting of the sun.
Gates open at 2pm-7pm and the event includes:
· Market Stalls, Food trucks, Cafe, Bar
· A traditional hangi (bookings essential). Hangi available from 4pm.
. 5pm Entertainment starts
Entertainment includes:
· Twilight commemoration including the lowering of the four flags at the setting of the sun
· Hear from Aussie Diggers
· Traditional Welcome to Country formalities by Yugambeh people
· Aboriginal and Maori Cultural performances
· Entertainment by Chris Tamwoy, Australia's Got Talent; and proud Torres Strait Islander, Victoria Tamaki and Eugene Kanoa
This is a free community event. For COVID compliance, bookings are essential for the event and for also if you want to pre-order a hangi plate.
